The table motor is a 1/2 hp motor at the rear left-hand side of the pinsetter. Its functions are to raise and lower the table, close and open the spotting tongs and raise the sweep at the end of a cycle. This motor runs both clockwise and counterclockwise to operate the tongs and raise the sweep when appropriate.
This motor has an electrical brake that locks onto the shaft when the motor is turned off. The brake holds the table up in the raised position when waiting for a ball or if the pinsetter has been turned off.
